Expectations
Attend Rehearsals:
- Members who miss rehearsals
must notify their section leader or the conductor.
- Attendance at the dress
rehearsal is a mandatory. A singer may not perform the
concert if he/she is absent from the dress rehearsal.
- Singers are encouraged to
practice the music at home so that rehearsals may proceed
quickly and efficiently. Any questions regarding musical
problems should be first taken up with th section leader and
then, if not resolved, with the conductor.
- Each singer must make it
his/her responsibility to know each note of the concert.
The music should be "almost memorized" by concert
time.
Support the Foothills
Chorale:
- Work to make the Chorale
the best it can be by:
Being a positive advocate of
the Chorale in the community.
Being active in areas of the Chorale that are non-singing in
nature.
Encourage talented singers to join the Chorale and work to
increase the size of the audience.
Commit to a full year of
performances:
Better stability and balance
for the choir. Continuity which allows musical concerns to be
solved. Planning for future programs. Use of Chorale members as
potential solo or ensemble members.
